I went to Nashville with four other member of Southern Indiana Writers to do a book signing at The Book Loft for our GHOSTS: ON THE SQUARE…AND ELSEWHERE, the anthology we put together for Corydon, Indiana’s 200th birthday (this year) Halloween Ghost Walk. Nashville, Indiana, that is, not Tennessee. We left at 8:30 IN THE MORNING and didn’t get home until the evening and by then I was too pooped to pop.

If you’ve never been to Nashville, Indiana, I highly recommend it. The main drag is packed with shops–everything from ice cream to art-quality jewelry. The goodness spreads to parallel streets, but everything is still compact enough to walk everywhere. We ate lunch at the Hob Nob. It was great, as always. Our waitress, Nikki, SAID she was going to come to the signing, BUT SHE DIDN’T. BAD Nikki! BAD!!

Here’s one of the benches for tired tourists–if you can bear to sit on something so artistic.

One of the churches has its own parking lot–or, rather, The Lord has a parking lot He lets them use. They posted these rules:

We had a fine signing and good day.
